As a community-owned business, Rolla Municipal Utilities’ (RMU) mission is to provide safe, reliable, and affordable electric and water service to our customers in the City of Rolla. We want you to know what steps we are taking to achieve that goal. Therefore, we have established a Speaker’s Bureau of RMU staff who can address and answer questions important to the citizens of the community we serve. RMU representatives have spoken to many service clubs and organizations on current topics related to your electric and water utility.

Rolla Municipal Utilities’ Speaker’s Bureau is a free service provided to local schools, businesses, civic groups, and other community organizations. Our Speaker’s Bureau is comprised of RMU employees who share their expertise on each topic. Our presentations vary in length and style, and normally include a 20-30 minute presentation followed by a Question and Answer session. Some talks are supplemented by a PowerPoint presentation.
Scheduling
To arrange for a speaker, please email speakers@rollamunicipalutilities.org. At least two week’s notice is requested, however a few “last minute” requests have been accommodated. A sampling of our current topics are listed above. If there is a topic that you don’t see, but would like addressed, please let us know.
It would help us to know approximately how many attendees will be at your meeting. Additionally, we will need information regarding layout of the room, whether any blank walls or screens are present, and what audio/visual equipment is available or should the RMU speaker bring our own.
